Use of biomass, especially wood, is an addition to the renewable energy generation market, which has also been used by BLS Energieplan in a number of projects.
The references range from pellet plants for heating 200 apartments (construction cooperative Reinickes Hof) to wood chip furnaces for clinics or urban disposal businesses.
The combination with an ORC process (Organic Rankine Cycle) - regenerative power generation from waste heat via heat exchangers - is another special application of biomass. Here, it pays off again that BLS engineers are in control of a broad technology spectrum and capable of taking integrated approaches.
