Construction of a new technical secondary school with classrooms, laboratories, workshops, swimming pool (375 m² of pool surface), sports center, restaurant and total gross floor area of approx. 36,000 m². Heat is supplied by a woodchip-fired boiler unit.
Optimization of the thermal energy demand by consistent low energy construction (25 to 30 kWhth/m²·a). Extensive heat insulation, use of thermal storage masses, automated natural ventilation of the classrooms. Significant simplification of thermal building technology. Simple and clear control of the systems. Swimming pool ventilation with heat recovery (double recuperator with heat pump). Heat recovery from swimming pool water for warming-up the recycled pool water.
Investment costs for building technology: about € 8.5 million
