Oleon GmbH operates natural oil and fat processing facilities in Emmerich. The boiler unit supplying the production process with steam was in need of renewal. In the course of steam supply modernization, a new boiler house N9101 was constructed on the company site with a water treatment plant and two steam boilers in close proximity to the existing boiler house. BLS Energieplan GmbH provided planning and construction of the high pressure steam boiler system with two boilers including auxiliaries.
The new boiler unit includes a 15 t/h steam boiler providing saturated steam with a pressure of 10 bar(g), and a 6 t/h steam boiler providing saturated steam with pressure of 64 bar(g). The 15 t/h boiler is a shell boiler with monoblock burner (designated as GWK). The 6 t/h boiler is a water tube boiler of the corner tube type (hereinafter referred to as ERK) with dual block firing and a pre-combustion chamber.
The boiler unit is designed for 72 h operation without permanent monitoring. The boiler including a firing unit is provided with a separate control cabinet located in the E-control room. Auxiliary systems are controlled from a separate control cabinet located in the same room.
