A model example of a smart city intended for work, research, education and dwelling takes place in the EUREF Campus. Focus is placed on energetic building development and CO2-neutral energy supply. BLS Energieplan GmbH was commissioned with building technology planning for the first new office building in the Campus. The building was designed with an emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainability and functionality. Implementation of this sustainability concept resulted in a LEED certification ("Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design") with a"Gold" rating. Investment costs: about EUR 6.5 million net Area: 15,000 m2 GFA (gross floor area)
