Using the resources of the KfW Program 432 (energy conversion of the neighborhood), the City of Potsdam wished to create an integral energy and climate protection concept for the Drewitz district. An additional element of the Program 432 is the support of an external renovation management component (consisting of offices: Stattbau, plan2, BLS), which will be introduced for continuation of the concept and to implement measures for three years.
At the same time, subject areas related to the integral concept are a focus of renovation management priorities: Energy supply (district heating, renewable energy), building (new construction, renovation), mobility, free space management and involvement, participation, social sustainability. As an engineering society, BLS plays an initiating and supporting role in the realm of energy supply and construction. As part of this the renovation management is always in the conflicting area between energy supply and consumption.
