The Senate Administration for Urban Development and Environment Berlin awarded a follow up to the feasibility study "Climate Neutral Berlin 2050", called Berlin Energy and Climate Protection Program. This study, under the lead of the IÖW, has the central task to point out the path to a climate neutral city by using interaction and participation of public, science and industry. Therefore special defined and applicable measures and their costs are determined. Partial scenarios for the stage goals in 2020, 2025 and 2030 are developed and analized.

Within this project, the BLS Energieplan GmbH takes over the tasks for:

  • lead of the action field Power generation
  • collaboration in the action field Building & urban development
  • development of the monitoring concept in cooperation with LUP
  • determination of the energy and CO2 balance for all five action fields
