BLS Energieplan GmbH was commissioned by Daimler AG with the planning of a gas engine driven thermal power station for the truck assembly plant in Wörth am Rhein. The existing heating plant was extended by three additional gas engine cogeneration units, approximately 4 MW of electricity each, and a reserve space for additional 4 MW. At the same time, BLS Energieplan GmbH was commissioned with the planning of the necessary renovation of the heating network. The renovation was aimed at reduction of the return flow temperatures to create an appropriate heat sink for the gas engines.
